Taisler and Lewis Engagement

Warmth of Love on a Winter Evening

I had the honor of meeting Kayla and Sam last year as I photographed their proposal.  Sam is an active member of the military, and therefore has spent a large amount of the past year overseas.  While he was stateside, I had the pleasure of capturing their engagement photos.  What I love most about engagement sessions is the way each looks at the other.  As a photographer, I can feel the excitement of the couple to just be in the presence of the other.  For this couple in particular, their reunion after a long separation made them even more grateful for this time together.  The purity of love in this stage is so refreshing and uplifting that I never leave an engagement session feeling anything short of excited.  This location was both stunning and perfect for the session.  The contrast of the rough and worn stone against the softness of this couple’s touch was beautiful against the golden hour light.  Engagements are just a brief period of time, but they are a truly special and sacred time in a couple’s life.  I was so pleased to be another small part of this couple’s love story.
